Crewhouse and River Observatory

The forms allow for easy storage and maneuverability of crewboats as well as opportunity for river and downtown views. The crewhouse represents aesthetically the forces balancing the cantilevered structure. The form is an expression of the transition from tension to compressive forces required to span the river.

A separation of massing allows for both a shaded observation deck as well as a visual differentiation of crewhouse functional elements.
